Easy Diwali Lakshmi puja vidhi describes an easy method of worship of Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali. The easy Diwali Lakshmi puja involves simple and effective worship of 5 deities, i.e. Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu, Lord Indra, Lord Kuber and Gajendra. These five are collectively known as Lakshmi Panchayat. Lord Ganesh is worshipped before worship of all these 5 deities.
On Diwali, as you decided to do easy Diwali Lakshmi puja of Goddess Lakshmi, you have to follow some very basic rules.
1. Keep Purity of mind, body and place of worship.
2. Do worship with full devotion and love in the lotus feet of God.
3. Worship at a auspicious time according to Hindu calendar. It improves the results of Pujan.
Photo or Idol of Goddess Lakshmi. Generally Lakshmi Ji ka Paana is available in market on which Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh, two white elephants, and Lakshmi yantra are printed. Buy it from your local market.
Chawki or a place to put idol or photo of Goddess Lakshmi.

Let us start easy Diwali Lakshmi puja. As you collected all the above things required for puja at the place of worship, you are ready to start the puja. Let us do Diwali Lakshmi puja step by step :
First step of Diwali Lakshmi Puja is, installation and invoking of Goddess Lakshmi. For this, put Chawki under east or north wall. Spread the red cloth on Chawki. Tie Moli around it. Now place idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi (Lakshmi Ji ka Pana) on the Chawki.
Now the second step is pray and worship Lord Ganesh first. Invoke Lord Ganesh in photo. Light a big earthen lamp with Ghee. Keep this Lamp lit whole night. Pray Lord Ganesh to come and stay at your home for Lakshmi Puja on Diwali. After praying, do Panchopchar. Offer five things to Lord Ganesh. After Panchopchar pray Lord Ganesh to give wealth and wisdom. You can chant the mantra "Om Goom Namah" ॐ गूं नमः or "Om Shrim Gam Saumyaya Ganpataye Var Varad Sarvjanam Me Vashamaanaya swaha" ॐ श्रीं गं सौम्याय गणपतये वर वरद सर्वजनम् मे वशमानय स्वाहा during worship of Ganesha. Surrender the recitation to his lotus feet. Both the mantras give wealth to devotee.
Third Step is worship Goddess Lakshmi. Invoke Goddess Lakshmi in photo. Pray Goddess Lakshmi to come and stay at your home. You can chant mantra "Om Shriim Hriim Kleem Shriim Lakshmiraagacch Aagacch Mam Mandire Tishtha Tishtha Swaha" ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं लक्ष्मीरागच्छ आगच्छ मम मंदिरे तिष्ठ तिष्ठ स्वाहा at least 11 times. This special mantra of Goddess Lakshmi quickly gives wealth and prosperity. Put Tilak of Roli on her forehead. Put some raw rice on it. Do Panchopchar puja of Goddess Lakshmi.
Offer Cotton seeds, Coriander seeds, Lotus seed, Moong, Haldi, Silver Coin, Bundle of Currency Notes and Supari. Place the sugarcanes at both sides of Chawki for elephants of Goddess Lakshmi.
Worship Lord Vishnu because Lord Vishnu is husband of Goddess Lakshmi. Pray Lord Vishnu to come along with Goddess Lakshmi and stay at your home. This way you can get stable wealth and prosperity. Chant Vishnu mantra "Shriim Haraye Namah" श्रीं हरये नमः at least 11 times. This mantra gives wealth quickly.
Now Do Aarti of Goddess Lakshmi. For Aarti, stand up at your place. Take Puja ki Thali and bell in hand. Sing the Aarti and jingle the bell. After you complete Aarti, give Aarti to God first and then give to others and take it self.
Fourth step is the worship of Lord Kuber. Worship of Lord Kuber is generally done in the safe or the locker in which you keep money. Open the safe or locker, draw a Swastika with Roli on it's door and inside floor. Offer raw rice to it. Invoke Lord Kuber in locker and pray to stay there. Do Panchopchar puja of Kuber there. Chant one of these Kuber mantras "Om Vaishrawanaya Swaha" ॐ वैश्रवणाय स्वाहा, "Om Shriim Om Hriim Shriim Hriim Kleem Shriim Kleem Vitteshvaraya Namah" ॐ श्रीं ॐ ह्रीं श्रीं ह्री क्लीं श्रीं क्लीं वित्तेश्वराय नमः, "Om Yakshaaya Kuberaaya Vaishrawanaaya Dhandhaanyaadipataye Dhandhaanya Samriddhi Dehi Dehi Daapaya Daapaya Swaha" ॐ यक्षाय कुबेराय वैश्रवणाय धन धान्यादि पतये समृद्धि देहि देहि दापय दापय स्वाहा at least 11 times. Pray Lord Kuber to keep fill the locker with money all the time.
Fifth step is to worship Lord Indra. Chant mantra "Om Indraya Namah" ॐ इन्द्राय नमः at least 11 times to please Indra. Offer him flower, scent, dhoop, deep and sweets.
Additionally you can recite Shree Sukta श्री सूक्त and Purush Sukta पुरुष सूक्त.
You completed Lakshmi Puja on Diwali. But the last and very important step is visarjana (see off) of Jyeshtha Lakshmi.
See-off ceremony of Jyeshtha Lakshmi is perform very early morning on next day, around 5:00 am. This is a process of see off a form of Lakshmi which is known as Jyeshtha Lakshmi or Goddess of Poverty. Take a big plate, put an earthen lamp in it. Light the lamp and put all waste of worship things in plate. Go to the main gate of your house. Put the lamp just near and outside the gate, put all the waste you collected in plate near the lamp, saying "Poverty, Poverty Go away, Lakshmi, Lakshmi Welcome!" So, you pray poverty to go away while pray Goddess Lakshmi to come and stay at your home.
Come back inside to the place of worship. Pick the photo of Goddess and place it in your puja ghar. Take all the things of Chawki as Prasad and use them. Remove the cloth from Chawki and turn it aside.
Now you Finished successfully the worship of Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali.
You can celebrate Diwali festival at your home with your family. Diwali is 5 days festival which starts from Kartik Krishna Trayodashi which is known as Dhan Teras. Next day is called as Roop Chaturdashi. Third day is called Diwali. On Diwali, do Lakshmi Puja at your home. Govardhan Puja or Annakut is on the very next day to Diwali. Do worship of Lord Govardhan on this day. Fifth and the last day of Diwali Festival is Bhai Dooj.
