This sabudana recipe is an Indian dessert recipe made with just handful ingredients like sabudana also known as sago or tapioca pearls, milk and sugar. The flavor and color enhanced by saffron and the use of apple, soft pear or babugosha and pomegranate in it make it more healthy and nutritious. It is garnished with almonds and pistachio chips. If you have soaked sabudana ready in your hands, than you can prepare this recipe in minutes.

Sago Delight Sabudana Recipe : Step by Step Instructions
  1. First of all, boil milk on high flame and then let milk simmer on low flame.
  2. Then add soaked sago in it and let it cook on low flame for 15 minutes. Stir it occasionally.
  3. When milk remains 3/4th, then add sugar and saffron in it and mix it well. Let it cook for few more minutes on low flame and then switch off the flame.
  4. Delicious sago kheer is ready.
  5. Now peel all the fruits. Chop apple and babugosha in small pieces. Collect the seeds of pomegranate.
  6. When sago kheer reached at room temperature then serve one portion in a bowl. Spread a layer of fresh fruits over it.
  7. Then again serve one more portion of sago kheer and again spread one more layer of fresh fruits over it.
  8. Finally, garnish it with almond pistachio chips and enjoy a sumptuous sago delight dessert with your family and friends.
Recipe Notes

You can also enjoy it chilled by keeping it in fridge for few hours.
