Chiwda Namkeen is one of the most popular Indian snacks recipes after Bikaneri Bhujia and Mogar, which is almost eaten with every beverage. It is very easy to prepare at home. Here, Sonia Goyal is giving its traditional Indian recipe which is available at most of the shops. In this recipe, Chiwda and peanuts are deep fried in vegetable oil. Now a days, people also use roasted Chiwda (rice flakes) and roasted peanuts to make it oil free recipe.

Chivda Namkeen Recipe : Step by Step Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a Kadahi. When oil starts to smoke, reduce the flame to medium.
  2. Put Chiwda in a wire mesh sieve.
  3. Deep fry Chiwda in hot oil till Chiwda becomes crispy.
  4. Take fried Chiwda out of the sieve and put it on paper towel.
  5. Deep fry peanuts in the same way, and mix it in a bowl in fried Chiwda.
  6. Add coconut chips, raisins, turmeric powder, sugar powder, salt and mint leaves in it and mix well.
  7. Your delicious crispy Indian snacks Chiwda Namkeen is ready to eat whether at Holi, Diwali and other festivals or to eat with beverages in daily routine.
Recipe Notes
  1. Keep your Chiwda Namkeen in a air tight container so that Chiwda remains crispy. If it catches moisture, it becomes soggy.
  2. You can also add black pepper powder or red chili powder as per your taste in it, if you like hot food.
  3. If you keep your Chiwda Namkeen in air tight container at cool and dry place, you can easily consume it for 1 month.
