  1. Peel boiled potatoes and mash them.
  2. Add bread crumbs, salt, red chili powder, green chili and coriander leaves in it.
  3. Grease your palms with cooking oil. Take fistful potato mixture and make a ball from it.
  4. Flatten it a bit by pressing it between your palms.
  5. Heat oil on a tawa or a shallow fry pan and then pan fry aloo tikki on it.
  6. When it bakes from one side and become golden, then turns it and bake it from another side.
  7. You may need to turn it couple of times.
  8. Bake it till it becomes crispy and light brown.
  9. Serve aloo tikki hot with coriander chutney and tamarind chutney.
Recipe Notes
  • Some of the vegetables like spring onion, peas can also be added in aloo tikki.
